To Kill A Mockingbird (1962)

Review: Robert Mulligan does a superb job of bringing Harper Lee's only novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, to the silverscreen. The film is very strong in all categories except sound quality, but that's nit-picking. Gregory Peck delivers one of the best performances of his career and he is not alone. The story by itself is worthy of making this movie an all-time classic. Racism is seen through the eyes of children, which makes it even more horrifying. This is one movie that every human being would benefit from seeing and it's status as an American classic is most definately deserved. By the way, see if you can recognize Robert Duvall in his first movie appearance. -JNJ
