Thunderheart (1992)

Thunderheart Recommended By: Dan J. in Stillwater, Oklahoma

Review: Val Kilmer plays an FBI agent who teams with Sam Shepard to investigate a murder in the South Dakota Badlands. The local Native American community proves to be uncooperative at best and deadly at worst. The plot has some interesting twists and some exhilarating moments to make it a fun watch. The cinematography of the Badland territory is both beautiful and bone-chilling at the same time. However, the hit of this movie is undoubtedly Graham Greene's role as the local sheriff. His awesome one-liners and devil-may-care attitude work very well with the overall mood of this film. This movie really has no weak areas and is very underrated. -JNJ
