Snow Falling On Cedars (1999)

Genre: Drama Mystery Romance Thriller

Director: Scott Hicks

Cast: Ethan Hawke, Youki Kudoh, Reeve Carney, Anne Suzuki, Rick Yune, Max von Sydow, James Rebhorn, James Cromwell, Richard Jenkins

Review: Snow Falling On Cedars is an interesting post-WWII romance/mystery surrounding the mysterious death of a fisherman and the Japanese-American accused of killing him. This film offers a unique look at prejudice and how it affects a small community and a young couple forced to test their love for each other. A visually stunning movie that has no weak areas, Snow Falling On Cedars is a somewhat forgotten and underrated movie that deserves its just due. -JNJ
