Sabotage (1936)

Genre: Drama Thriller

Director: Alfred Hitchcock

Cast: Sylvia Sidney, Oskar Homolka, Desmond Tester, John Loder

Review: As the title indicates, Sabotage is about a seemingly quiet and innocent man involved in a gang planting bombs around London. Alfred Hitchcock shows his uncanny ability to bring an almost unbearable climax in a very shocking scene as a young boy "delivers the package". The movie is quite exciting and tense, especially considering its age. The screenplay is also well-written and even delivers a bit of wit and humor. Sabotage is an early example of a good Hitchcock film. -JNJ
