Rumble Fish (1983)

Recommended By: Dan J. in Stillwater, Ok

Viewing Source: Dan J. in Stillwater, Ok

Review: Rumble Fish is very artsy with its black-and-white cinematography and is also surprisingly deep. In fact, Mickey Rourke's character reminded me a lot of Marlon Brando's character in Apocalypse Now , which should come as no surprise since both are directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Filmed in Tulsa, OK, the story is about two brothers, the older one trying to settle down from his trouble-making reputation and the younger one desperately trying to become what his brother once was. Mickey Rourke is phenomenal as the cool-as-ice Motorcycle Boy and Diane Lane is smokin' hot as the girlfriend. Also, be sure to look for Nicolas Cage in an early role. -JNJ
