Mulholland Falls (1996)

mulholland falls movie poster

Mulholland Falls Recommended By: Dan J. in Stillwater, Oklahoma

Viewing Source: Vault Video

Review: This film is one of the most underrated movies on this site. When I watch this movie, I see a great cast involved in an interesting period story in which the sets, costumes, and cinematography are all very visually stimulating. Heck, Jennifer Connelly's luscious beauty and Nick Nolte's unbridled rage are reasons enough to greatly enjoy this movie by themselves. Add in a slightly disturbing performance from John Malkovich and solid work from other big names such as Melanie Griffith, Chazz Palminteri, Michael Madsen, Chris Penn, and Treat Williams (the guy from "Everwood"! Remember "Everwood?) and this turns into one of those diamonds in the rough. Apparently not many people like this movie, but it's a mystery to me. -JNJ
