August (2008)

Review: August tells the story of two brothers who start a company from scratch only to watch it lose everything in a matter of months. Tensions arise and the end is near, yet one brother is too headstrong to admit defeat to his employees, to his family, or even to himself. Josh Hartnett gives a decent performance and there is a cool appearance from David Bowie. The story, however, does fall a bit flat and may only appeal to those with experience in having a close relationship with a sibling. Overall: not bad, not great. -JNJ
